CASSIAR DISTRICT, BRITISH COLUMBIA : Juggernaut Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V: JUGR) has launched its inaugural 10,000-meter diamond drill campaign at the “Big One” property, marking the first sub-surface investigation of a district-scale gold-silver-copper system in the heart of British Columbia’s Golden Triangle.
The 2026 program, which is fully funded following a series of successful capital raises that bolstered the company’s treasury to approximately $12 million, utilizes two helicopter-portable drill rigs to test high-priority targets within the 22-square-kilometer Eldorado zone. The campaign is a critical milestone for Juggernaut, which has spent several seasons mapping and sampling surface outcrops that have yielded some of the highest-grade mineralized veins recorded in the region in recent years.
The Big One property is situated in a strategic corridor of the Golden Triangle, approximately 12 kilometers from advancing road and power infrastructure and in the vicinity of Newmont and Teck Resources’ Galore Creek project.
Systematic Testing of the Eldorado Zone
The primary objective of the 10,000-meter program is to validate the continuity of high-grade polymetallic veins identified at surface. To date, geological teams have mapped more than 500 veins along an 11-kilometer mineralized corridor. These veins, which reach widths of up to 50 meters in some sections, are hosted within shear zones that the company believes could be part of a much larger, causative mineralizing system at depth.
Initial drilling is focused on three distinct sub-zones:
- The Whopper Zone: Targeted for its sheer scale and width of mineralization observed at surface.
- The Big Mac Zone: A high-grade target where surface sampling has identified significant copper and silver values.
- The Gold Dome Zone: Notable for the presence of visible gold (VG) in quartz veins.
The move from surface prospecting to systematic diamond drilling represents a major shift in the project’s lifecycle. While the Golden Triangle is known for world-class deposits like Brucejack and Eskay Creek, the Big One property remained largely untested by the drill bit until this season.

High-Grade Mineralization Profile
Data from Juggernaut’s prior exploration seasons has set high expectations for the current campaign. Surface rock chips and channel samples from the Eldorado zone have returned extraordinary values, including peaks of 256.60 g/t gold, 2,810 g/t silver, and 14.40% copper. On a gold-equivalent (AuEq) basis, some samples have exceeded 263.70 g/t (8.48 oz/t AuEq).
Beyond the raw grades, the geochemistry of the Big One system is particularly attractive to potential downstream processors. Analysis indicates a “clean” mineralogical signature, with no significant deleterious elements like mercury or arsenic. This lack of impurities often simplifies the metallurgical flowsheets and improves the economics of potential future mining operations.
The recent performance of precious metals has further amplified interest in Juggernaut’s offensive. As noted in recent gold and silver market highlights, the sector is experiencing a re-rating as investors seek exposure to high-margin, high-grade assets. The macro environment, driven by weak jobs data and interest rate pause bets, has provided a tailwind for juniors with drill-ready projects in Tier 1 jurisdictions.
Logistical Readiness and Long-term Permitting
The 2026 campaign is supported by a robust logistical framework. The company has established a remote alpine camp and secured a five-year drill permit that remains valid through March 31, 2031. This long-term permit provides Juggernaut with the regulatory runway to move immediately into follow-up and expansion drilling should the inaugural 10,000 meters deliver a discovery.
Operations in the Golden Triangle are notoriously difficult due to rugged terrain and short summer windows. Juggernaut’s use of helicopter-supported rigs allows for precise positioning on steep ridges where the vein systems are best exposed.

“The start of the 10,000-meter program at Big One is the culmination of years of preparatory work,” said a project geologist familiar with the site operations. “We are no longer just looking at what is on the surface; we are finally seeing the geometry of these veins at depth. The presence of visible gold in our surface work gives us a clear roadmap for where we want these initial holes to land.”
Regional M&A and Strategic Context
Juggernaut’s aggressive exploration comes at a time of renewed M&A activity in the copper and gold sectors. Major miners have increasingly looked toward the Golden Triangle to replenish their project pipelines. The proximity to Galore Creek: a massive joint venture between Newmont and Teck: places Big One in a neighborhood where infrastructure is already a primary focus for government and industry stakeholders.
As seen in the broader copper M&A strategy among majors like Rio Tinto and BHP, the race for “Tier 1 dominance” often begins with the acquisition or partnership with juniors who hold significant land packages in proven districts. With 100% control over the Big One project, Juggernaut maintains maximum optionality for future joint ventures or buyouts.
Outlook for the 2026 Drill Season
The 10,000-meter campaign is expected to run through the end of the summer season, with initial assay results likely to be released in batches starting in late Q3 2026.
Investors and analysts will be closely watching for:
- Width and Grade Consistency: Whether the 50-meter-wide surface veins maintain their dimensions at depth.
- Visible Gold Occurrences: Confirmation of VG in drill core, which would validate the high-grade nature of the Gold Dome Zone.
- Source Identification: Evidence of a larger intrusive body or porphyry system that could be feeding the extensive vein network.

If Juggernaut can replicate its surface success in the drill core, Big One could quickly transition from a grassroots exploration project to a core asset in the Golden Triangle. For now, the focus remains on the rigs, the rock, and the data being pulled from some of the most remote and mineral-rich terrain in North America.
