Company Advances One of the World’s Largest Undeveloped Gold Projects

Seabridge Gold Inc. (TSX: SEA, NYSE: SA) has announced plans to raise $100 million to fund key initiatives at its KSM gold-copper project in British Columbia, including a bankable feasibility study and infrastructure improvements.
The financing package consists of:
- An $80 million bought deal offering of 6.54 million shares priced at $12.25 per share, with underwriters granted an option to purchase an additional 15% of the offered shares within 30 days of closing (scheduled for February 19, 2025).
- A $20 million private placement from a strategic investor, involving 1.64 million common shares issued under similar terms.
The gross proceeds of approximately $100 million (C$143 million) will be allocated toward:
- Power infrastructure payments to BC Hydro
- Final field data collection for the KSM feasibility study
- Ongoing project activities

Seabridge Gold Shares React to Financing Announcement
Following the announcement, Seabridge Gold shares experienced increased trading activity, declining 9.1% to $17.21, down $1.73. Over the past 52 weeks, the stock has traded between $28.39 and $12.62.

Seabridge Gold holds a 100% interest in multiple major North American gold projects. The KSM property, located near Stewart, British Columbia, is considered one of the largest undeveloped gold projects globally.

Seabridge also owns the Iskut property in British Columbia and the Courageous Lake gold project in the Northwest Territories.

Seabridge Chairman and CEO Rudi Fronk reaffirmed the company’s commitment to advancing the KSM project:
“We have committed approximately $150 million in work at our KSM project in 2025 to continue moving it forward and to maintain our commitment to our indigenous partners and local communities,” said Fronk.
“This work includes critical path items to position KSM for future partnership and establish a path for future development.”

Beyond KSM, Seabridge Gold is exploring high-potential gold targets, including the 3 Aces target, which shares geological characteristics with some of the world’s richest gold deposits, such as:
