Tata Communications Secures Major Indian Coal Client in Expanding Enterprise Cloud Portfolio
In Q3, Tata Communications Ltd boosted its enterprise cloud services by onboarding several Indian and global companies for cloud, mobility, video content, and IoT solutions. This quarter also saw a key deal with a major Indian coal mining and refining company to integrate IT infrastructure under Tata’s private IZO cloud platform.
Tata Communications partnered with UK-based ATP Media to stream live ATP tennis tournaments globally. Their video-connect network supports ultra-fast content transfer in over 200 territories, delivering live coverage from on-site production to broadcaster audiences worldwide. This collaboration highlights Tata’s strength in handling large-scale live digital content.
To meet surging demand for enterprise internet services, Tata Communications expanded its IZO cloud platform, targeting growth in the US and European markets. The new coal mining client will use IZO’s private cloud for hosted IT infrastructure, enhanced security, and networking services. This setup promises cost savings, hardware scalability on demand, and secure data management.
A.S. Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO of Tata Communications, emphasized the fast adoption of cloud technology by enterprise customers moving workloads from physical data centers to cloud environments. “Cloud and security remain top priorities as digital transformation accelerates across industries,” he said, reflecting Tata’s strategic business focus.
